Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon.  The earrings are handcrafted with 14K gold filled.  The feature is the round anodized aluminum bead which glows because of its satin finish.  Aluminum is a very light weight material so the earrings are easy to wear. 
 
You may also purchase the Selene hoops with out the aluminum in the Mixed Metals shop section in 14K gold filler or sterling silver.
