The Leona Aluminum dangles are the fun pair in the Leona series.    Leona is a series of hand beaded earrings inspired by American quilting.  In the south of Georgia I grew up using homemade quilted blankets made by my great Aunt Leona.  This design is another way for me to bring my culture into the form of jewelry art but in a modern way.  The earrings are hand beaded with recycled glass  beads.  Cotton thread is added during hand beading to represent a craft look and more dimension to the octogan shaped beads. To add a modern touch they are finished with anodized aluminum, 14K gold filled beads and earwire.
